The founding
The club was founded through the people of the city's own efforts on Abu Rakhm land at the far east of the city (the British camp land — now Al-Safa district), under the name “Egyptian Youth Renaissance Association in Ismailia”, registered with the Ministry of Interior under no. 124/1921.

Registration and the birth of the name
The club was officially registered under the executive regulations of the 1923 Constitution, and its name changed to “Ismailia Sporting Club”.

Egyptian FA registration
The club registered with the new Egyptian Football Association.

Sultan Hussein Kamel Cup
The club took part in the Sultan Hussein Kamel Cup.

The second home
The club received an 8,000-square-metre plot from Mr Nicola, an official at the Suez Canal Company, beside today's Friday Market (the club's second home).

The pitch is grassed
The pitch was planted with grass after previously being a sand field.

The El-Thalathini ground
The club received a plot of around 15,000 square metres on El-Thalathini Street from Canal Governor Fouad Shireen Pasha (now Ismailia Youth Centre).

The third home opens (El-Thalathini)
Ismaily's third home opened in the presence of former Minister of War Mohamed Haidar Pasha and a number of state officials.

The name changes to “Ismaily”
The club's name changed from “Ismailia Club” to “Ismaily Club”, honouring Khedive Ismail and recognising the contribution to construction at the new El-Thalathini home.

First Egyptian league appearance
Ismaily took part in the Egyptian league for the first time in its history and defeated Al Ittihad Alexandria 3–1.

The official name returns
After the 1952 Revolution, the name “Ismailia Sporting Club” was restored — the club's official name in use to this day.

Ismailia Stadium opens
The large Ismailia Stadium (Ismailia Sporting Stadium) was officially opened.

First match at the stadium
The club's first official match at Ismailia Stadium was played against Al Ittihad, ending in a 4–1 Ismaily victory.

League champions for the first time
Ismaily defeated El Sekka El Hadid 1–0 at Ismailia Stadium to become Egyptian league champions for the first time in the club's history.

Temporary home at Zamalek
The club moved to temporary premises at Zamalek Club.

African champions — the first Arab and Egyptian club
Ismaily defeated Congo champions Englebert 3–1 at Cairo Stadium to be crowned champions of Africa, becoming the first Egyptian and Arab club in history to win the title.

The club moved to temporary premises at Gezira Youth Centre.

The return after the October War
The club returned to Ismailia after the October War. Its first match, against Al Olympi, ended in a 2–1 Ismaily victory.

The Ismaily premises on El-Thalathini Street were exchanged for the club's fourth home in Ismailia's Second District — its current home — under Decision no. 335 of 1979.

Ismaily defeated Al Ahly 2–0 in El Mahalla to become Egyptian league champions for the second time in the club's history.
